Paper Dolls Tray

Paper Dolls Tray

Sold Out

In the early 80's while browsing a flea market in Fort Worth, designer Todd Oldham came across a little box of hand- made paper dolls, simply labeled PAPER DOLL BOX #2. Assumed to be made in the 40's or early 50's and with no info about the artist, the mystery of the dolls' origin added to their allure. Over the years, the dolls have mesmerized and inspired everyone Todd has shared them with - artist Cindy Sherman even included them in her exhibition at the 2013 Venice Biennale.

The tray features a beautiful selection of the Paper Dolls. It comes in a gift box printed with the original markings from the actual Paper Dolls box and the full story in Todd Oldham's words printed on the back. The tray makes a great gift for anyone who enjoys a great story and a hint of mystery.
